Duke is a terrier mix that was born in Jan of xxxx and is a real smartie. This little guy came into the rescue a few weeks ago after his family decided they could no longer keep him due to his dominant behavior with the younger kids in the home. Duke was being allowed on the furniture and would not let the kids sit down. He would bark and act somewhat "snarky" which was upsetting to the entire family. We took Duke in and sent him to a trainer to be evaluated and it was decided that basically Duke just needed to know who was in charge and it's not him! Going forward Duke will need a structured home without small kids where he has a regular routine and is not allowed to be the boss. Duke is housetrained, good with other dogs and cats he loves walks and rides well in the car. Duke is being crated in his foster home at night and is doing very well he is affectionate and loves being cuddled and is going to make a seasoned dog owner a great companion.
